In Feb 2008, a new bill in Mississippi is to make it illlegal for restaurants to serve obese customers.
Mississippi citizens always come bottom in terms of taking exercise, and comes top as one of the fattest states. Two-thirds of the adults are overweight, and 30% obese.
Mississippi Representative W.T. Mayhall, Jr., one of those who propose the bill, apparently believes that shame and embarrassment will help people take better care of their health.
